Welcome to 8th Wakefield (Horbury Bridge) Scout Group. 
Here at Horbury Scouts we strive to provide fun, exciting, adventurous, challenging
& educational activities, for the young people of Horbury and surrounding areas.
In order to help them to develop into responsible, mature and capable young adults
who, with all our support, might just go on to make a difference.
Presentation NIght & AGM
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and parents are invited to a presentation night on the 1st July 2009.
Badges will be presented to all those children who have gained activity and challenge badges over the last few months
we will also be showing a short presentation of our potential new scout hut.
During the evening there will be a short break while our annual general Meeting is held - this is an opportunity for you to see the finances of the Group. and read the leaders reports on whats been happening over the last year.

Scouting, at all levels, is a uniformed organisation which has an ethos of discipline
and respect for oneself and others and which, through a structured and progressive
programme of training, tries to encourage youngsters to be self reliant, confident
in their abilities and better fitted for adult life.
Scouting at Horbury starts from the age of 6 years old up to 14 years old.
All the sections meet in our own headquarters at Horbury Bridge.
We currenlty have a waiting list for all the sections, Contact us for more information.
Section Meeting Times
Beaver Scouts (6 – 8 year olds) Mondays 6.15 – 7.30pm
Cub Scouts (8 – 10 ½) Thursdays 6.30 – 7.45pm
Scouts (10 ½ - 14) Thursdays 8 – 9.15pm
