8th necker

Welcome to 8th Wakefield (Horbury Bridge) Scout Group.

Here at Horbury Scouts we strive to provide fun, exciting, adventurous, challenging & educational activities, for the young people of Horbury and surrounding areas.
In order to help them to develop into responsible, mature and capable young adults who, with all our support, might just go on to make a difference.

Know scouting

Scouting, at all levels, is a uniformed organisation which has an ethos of discipline and respect for oneself and others and which, through a structured and progressive programme of training, tries to encourage youngsters to be self reliant, confident in their abilities and better fitted for adult life.

Scouting at Horbury starts from the age of 6 years old up to 18 years old.

All the sections meet in our own headquarters at Horbury Bridge.
